Day 3 - Vatican City Highlights

A day spent inside the smallest independent state in the world can actually take up a surprising amount of time, thanks to the density of important cultural and religious artworks and monuments – such as St. Peter’s Basilica and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel – held within the walls of Vatican City. You’ll want to start early to ensure you beat the crowds and have ample time to wander the halls of the Vatican Museums and take in the experience in its entirety. But not to worry, you’ll be fueled by paninis stuffed with ham, smoked cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, dark chocolate gelato, and probably an espresso – or two – along the way.
