New York City Food Guide

NYC West Village

A small area with big charm, the West Village is one of NYC’s oldest and most coveted enclaves. Less commercial than its neighbor Greenwich Village, the West Village offers an interesting mix of casual bars, trendy cafes and upscale restaurants. Most of the West Village is protected by historic landmark districts which is the reason for all the open communal spaces like Hudson River Park – with its shaded lawns and popular bike path – and the green gardens next to the Church of Saint Luke in the Fields, a perfect place to duck into for a quick reprieve from city life.
